This week in Reading, we read the story “Smash! Crash!” and
discussed friendship. Our letter of the week was Mm! We continued working with
syllables, rhyming and blending. In
Math, we compared and built with solid shapes. We also learned about patterns
and did an activity graphing M&M’s.
Next week, we will begin reading the story “Dig, Dig,
Digging” and discuss how machines help people.
We will be learning all about the letter Tt as in turtle! In Math, we
will be tested on comparing solid shapes and will start our unit on counting.
Reminders:
- Don’t forget that Library day is Day 3 and your child will need to return their library book on that day!
- Please remember that on Monday, October 12th there is no school for students. Enjoy your day off!
- Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. If you’d like to keep a sweater or jacket here at school, please make sure that your child’s name is labeled on the tag! Thank you!
- Tuesday, October 13th will be school picture day! Please remember to send in your child’s envelope if you wish to order pictures. **We will have Gym, but Gym class will be held in our classroom so as not to interfere with pictures being taken.
