Last week in Reading, we read the story “Dig, Dig, Digging” and discussed how machines help people. Our letter of the week was Tt. We continued working with syllables, rhyming, blending, and segmenting.  In Math, we were tested on analyzing, comparing, and composing solid shapes.

This week, we will begin to read the story "Flowers" and discuss how flowers are unique. Our letter of the week will be Aa as in apple and we will focus on comparing and contrasting. In Math, we will begin our topic on numbers 1-5.

Reminders:

  • ·       Don’t forget that Library day is Day 3 and your child will need to return their library book on that day. **Book Fair will begin this week! Students will be going during their Special time on Wednesday.
  • ·       Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.  If you’d like to keep a sweater or jacket here at school, please make sure that your child’s name is labeled on the tag! Thank you.
  • ·       Please continue to have your child practice their sight words as part of the nightly homework. We have been doing a terrific job so far!

Today is Day 4 and we have ART!
