Over the last few days, we have had a lot of fun getting ready for the Thanksgiving holiday!  We learned about the Pilgrims and their long, hard journey to America.  We learned about the Native Americans and how they helped the Pilgrims when they arrived in America. We talked about what it truly means to be thankful and discussed who/what we are thankful for. We made Native American vests and headbands, made necklaces out of pasta, and wrote about giving thanks.  We also took a trip to fourth grade to watch Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving with our reading buddies!

REMINDERS:
  • Your child's Santa Letters are due when we return to school on December 2nd. We will then be sending them straight to the North Pole.
  • AR books were not sent home due to the long Thanksgiving break. They will be sent home again on Tuesday, December 2nd.
  • The elementary Christmas concert is on Thursday, December 4th at 7pm at the high school auditorium.  Students are asked to arrive between 6:15 and 6:30 (please use the gymnasium/auditorium entrance). Students must follow the dress code: girls may wear dresses, skirts, etc -- boys may wear dress shirts, ties, sweaters, etc
  • Tuesday, December 2nd will be Day 4 and we will have ART.

Have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving break!
