This week we read the story “George Washington Visits” and talked
about how life was different hundreds of years ago. We reviewed the letter Dd
and presented our Dinosaur Projects to the class! Everyone did an excellent job
– thank you for putting in the
time to make them worthwhile!
In Math, we continued our topic on comparing and ordering
numbers 0-10. We practiced showing one more, one fewer, two more, and two
fewer, and discussed numbers that were greater and less. Next week, we will
finish up and be tested on Topic 4: Comparing and Ordering numbers 0-10.
In Science, we began our Chapter on Matter and Mixtures and began
discussing solids. Next week, we will discuss liquids and gases.
REMINDERS:
·January books logs were sent home this week. The
goal is to read 15 books or more by January 31st. **Thank you to all
of those who reached their December goal. Keep up the great work!
·There will be a 2-hour
data delay on Wednesday, January 11th. Please plan accordingly.
·There will be no school for students on Monday,
January 16th.
