This week in Reading, we read the story “Bear Snores On” and
discussed what special things a bear does during winter. Our letter of the week
was Cc and we differentiated between realism and fantasy. In Math, we continued
work with comparing and ordering numbers 0-5 and practiced our number writing.
In Science, we discussed different types of weather and the seasons.
This week, the Schuylkill County Sheriff’s Department dropped by
NSE to fingerprint all of our Kindergarten students. The kids really enjoyed
the process! We also had a visit from the Goodwill Fire Company in Frackville,
who delivered a wonderful fire safety program.
Next week, we will be reading the story “A Bed for Winter” and discussing
what kind of home animals need. Our letter of the week will be Ii as in igloo. In
Math, we will be tested on ordering numbers 0-5 and we will start counting,
writing, and reading numbers 6-10.
