Last week in Reading, we read the story “Smash! Crash!” and discussed friendship. Our letter of the week was Mm! We continued working with syllables, rhyming and blending.  In Math, we compared and built with solid shapes.

 

This week, we will begin reading the story “Dig, Dig, Digging” and discuss how machines help people.  In Math, we will be tested on comparing solid shapes and will start our unit on counting.

 

Reminders:

·       Don’t forget that Library day is Day 2 and your child will need to return their library book on that day.

·       Fall Festival will be held on Thursday, October 9^th. If you haven’t already done so, please send in $4.00.

·       Please remember that Friday, October 10^th is a half day for students.

·       Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.  If you’d like to keep a sweater or jacket here at school, please make sure that your child’s name is labeled on the tag! Thank you.

·       Please continue to send a snack in with your child. Thank you.

 

Monday, October 6th, will be Day 4 and we will have Art! J
