Miss Hughes’s Kindergarten News
April 11-15

Reading- We will be reading: The Little Engine That Could. We will be sequencing the story and looking further at the plot of the story.  Our amazing words are: engine, passenger, mountain, tracks, roundhouse, and valley.

Phonics/Grammar- We will continue with the letter Uu like in Umbrella and Unicorn.  We will be identifying them in the medial and initial position in words.  We will also be reviewing nouns.

Our United States Projects should be sent in on Monday April 11th. We will be sharing our assigned state with our classmates next week.  I sent home a coloring oversized worksheet for fun and to help with finding facts! Your child should try to memorize the 2-3 facts!

In Math, we started Topic 11 Decomposing Numbers 11-19 and will test next week. Please review math work-mats that come home!

Please continue to practice our Kindergarten Sight Words!

Thank you to ALL who generously donated to our class’ Chinese Auction basket/rolling tote for the PTO Spring Fling Auction coming up on April 16-April 17. Our Sugar & Spice and Everything Nice Basket (3 drawer rolling tote) looks amazing!!
