This
week in Reading, we read the story “We Are So Proud.” We learned about what it
means to be proud and how to make others proud of us. We learned about and
practiced writing the letters Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii, Jj, Kk, Ll, Mm, and Nn. We
continued to practice rhyming and learned how to break words into syllables. In
Math, we were tested on circles, hexagons, triangles, squares, rectangles, and
solid shapes: cylinder, cone, cube, and sphere. Everyone did a great job!! In
Science, we discussed how we observe our surroundings by using our 5 senses.
Next
week, we will start our new story “Plaidypus Lost” and will learn about how
families cooperate. We will also
introduce the letters Oo, Pp, Qq, Rr, and Ss. We will continue working with
syllables and discuss sequence. We will
also continue to work on mastering writing our names! In Math, we will work
with our position words: inside, outside, above, below, on, in front of,
behind, left and right.
