Last week in Reading, we read the
story “Little Panda” and discussed a panda’s first year of life. We saw live
footage of a panda from the San Diego Zoo on their “Panda Cam.” Our letter of
the week was Nn as in Net! In Math, we were
tested on reading, writing, and counting numbers 0-10.
This week, we will begin reading
“Little Quack” and discussing what new things you can do as you get older. We
will be learning all about the letter Rr as in River. We will discuss new words
such as duckling, plunge, pond, paddle, proud, and brave. In Math, we will bring
comparing and ordering numbers 0-10.
Reminders:
- Please remember to send back the AR books every day with your child & fill out the December Log. **The monthly goal is 15 books!
- Please be sure that your child is wearing a heavy coat, gloves, and hat to school every day, we go outside for recess!
- This week, mail carrier Jill Hawranick came into Kindergarten to help us mail our letters to Santa. The kiddos were very excited about getting the opportunity to send their Christmas wishes to the North Pole. Thank you Jill!!
- Wednesday, December 23rd, will be Polar Express Day for Kindergarten. Students are encouraged to wear their pajamas!!
