This week in Reading, we read the story “Animal
Babies in Grasslands” and discussed what special animals live in the grasslands.
We got to watch live videos of elephants and lions in their zoo habitats. Our
letter of the week was Pp as in pig! We practiced blending (putting sounds
together), segmenting (breaking words into their individual sounds), and
initial and final sounds. We also talked about the main idea of a story. In Math, we began our topic on reading, writing
& counting numbers 1-5 and in Science, we discussed what we can see in the
daytime and nighttime skies!
