This week in Reading, we read the story “One Little Mouse” and talked about adventures
that animals can have. We learned about Ll blends & words that contain Ll
blends. We also discussed number words: one, two, three, four, five. We learned
that the subject of a sentence tells who or what the sentence is about and the
predicate tells what is happening.
Next week, we will be reading the story “Goldilocks
and the Three Bears” and learning about adventures that cause trouble. We will
be learning the letter Gg and discussing character. We will read many different
versions of the popular tale and compare and contrast them with one another.
In Math,
we finished up our topic on numbers to 100. We will be tested on the topic on
Tuesday and will begin Topic 7: Understanding Addition. We also learned how to
play Dominoes this week.
