This week in Reading, we read
the story “Bear Snores On” and discussed what special things a bear does during
winter. Our letter of the week was Cc. We continued practicing syllables,
rhyming, segmenting and blending, and differentiated between realism and
fantasy. We have also been practicing
our short and long vowel sounds. In Math, we continued work with ordering
numbers 0-5 and practiced our number writing.
Next week, we will be
reading the story “A Bed for Winter” and discussing what kind of home animals
need. Our letter of the week will be Ii as in igloo. In Math, we will be tested
on ordering numbers 0-5 and we will start counting, writing, and reading
numbers 6-10.
