This week in Reading, we read
the story “Flowers” and discussed how flowers are unique. Our letter of the
week was Aa. We continued working with
syllables, rhyming, blending, and segmenting and learned how to compare and
contrast. In Math, we focused on reading, writing, and counting numbers 1-5.
Next week, we will be
reading the story “Nature Spy” and discussing what we can learn about nature by
looking closely. Our letter of the week will be Ss and we will learn about the
setting of a story, or where the story takes place. In Math, we will be tested
on our numbers to 5 and begin comparing and ordering numbers 0-5. We will be working
with terms such as more than, fewer than, and same as.
