This week in Reading, we
read the story “Rooster’s Off to See the World” and talked about adventures. We
discussed trips, journeys, being homesick, and what we can learn from going on
an adventure. Our letter of the week was Hh and we learned three new words:
are, that, do. We also practiced putting things in order!
Next week, we will be reading
the story “My Lucky Day” and learning about lucky adventures. Our letter of the
week will be Ll and we will be discussing cause and effect.
In Math, we were tested
on numbers to 100 and introduced counting by 2’s and 10’s. Please help by
practicing this at home, it is a tricky concept for this age group.
Next week, we will introduce
addition.
This week in Science, we
finished up our chapter on “Objects.” We practiced sorting and grouping objects
