Last week in Reading, we continued reading the story “Dig, Dig, Digging” and
discussed how machines help people. Our letter of the week was Tt. We continued
working with syllables, rhyming, blending, and segmenting. In Math, we started our unit on counting.
This week, we will be reading the story “Flowers” and discussing how flowers are
unique. Our letter of the week will be Aa and we will learn how to compare and
contrast. We will learn two new words: have, is. In Math, we will continue
working with counting, arranging, and writing the numbers 4 and 5. Students
will also be tested on counting up to 5.
REMINDERS:
- Don’t forget that Library day is Day 2 and your child will need to return their library book on that day.
- Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. If you’d like to keep a sweater or jacket here at school, please make sure that your child’s name is labeled on the tag. Thank you.
