In Reading, we read our story “The Little School Bus” and discussed
rhyming words, character, and parts of a book. We also learned about and
practiced writing the letters Aa and Bb. In Math, we learned about squares and
rectangles and practiced writing the number 1.
Next week, we
will continue to read the “The Little School Bus” and will learn about how
people live, work and play together. We
will also introduce the letters Cc, Dd, and Ee. We will continue to practice
rhyming words, discuss character, and identify parts of a book. In Math, we will introduce circles,
triangles, hexagons, and solid figures and practice our number writing!
Reminders:
- Due to our late lunch time in Kindergarten, we have snack every day around 10:15. Please be sure that you are sending a snack in with your child – the school does not provide a snack. Thank you!
- On gym days, students are to wear their gym clothes to school. Please make sure that your child is wearing a Spartan t-shirt and sneakers. The school will periodically send t-shirt order forms home with your child but if you are need of one immediately, please contact the PTO.
- Please make sure that you continue to check & send back your child’s green folder every day!
- Please be sure that your child is wearing his/her bus tag for the first few weeks of school!
- Please refer to the student handbook regarding the student dress code. All shirts must have a collar. On gym days, however, a Spartan t-shirt may be worn.
- Every Friday is a Spartan Spirit Day – a Spartan t-shirt may be worn every Friday!!!
There will be no school on Monday, September 1st!!
Tuesday, September 2nd will be Day 5 and we will have
Computers!!
